Ann Scheck McAlearney, ScD, MS
Senior Advisor

Dr. Ann McAlearney is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Health Services Management and Policy in the School of Public Health at the Ohio State University. She is responsible for the assessment of Institutional Readiness to Change within the Expecting Success National Program, and provides technical expertise in the areas of organizational assessment, leadership, and organizational change management. Her other research interests include the areas of leadership development and information technology innovations in health care, and she has recently written a book, Population Health Management: Strategies to Improve Outcomes, for Health Administration Press. Prior to returning to academics, Dr. McAlearney held positions and had consulting arrangements with organizations including UniHealth, Monsanto Health Solutions, PacifiCare Health Systems, Merck & Co., Massachusetts General Hospital, UCLA Medical Center, Arthur Young & Company, the Congressional Budget Office, and the World Health Organization. Dr. McAlearney received her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences (BAS) degree in English and Biological Sciences from Stanford University, MS in Biological Sciences from Stanford University, and ScD in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health.
