Lissette Vaquerano
Senior Research Assistant

Ms. Vaquerano is a Senior Research Assistant for Expecting Success. She has experience working with issues relating to quality of care for vulnerable populations, welfare reform, and publicly financed insurance. Ms. Vaquerano worked extensively on safety net and health disparities issues as part of the Urgent Matters* project. She has examined dental health care services provided to Medicaid and low-income recipients and studied the impact of the State Children's Health Insurance Program on community health centers and children with special health care needs. More recently she assisted in a study examining treatment and prevention services for breast and cervical cancer in the state of California. Ms Vaquerano has also provided research assistance, translation services, and project coordination for several other George Washington University projects. Ms. Vaquerano is fluent in both written and spoken Spanish and is a graduate of The George Washington University Medical Center, School of Public Health and Health Services.
