Holly
Mead is an Assistant Research Professor in The George Washington
University&'s Department of Health Policy. She works on
the Cardiovascular Market Assessment component of the Expecting
Success program, conducting site visits of the grantee hospitals
and other health care organizations, and interviewing key stakeholders
familiar with the structure and delivery of cardiovascular care
for minority patients. Before working on Expecting Success, Dr.
Mead worked on the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Urgent
Matters project as part of the team of researchers conducting
community assessments surrounding the issue of overcrowding in
emergency departments. Dr. Mead also worked for three years as
a research fellow at the Institute for Women's Policy Research,
where she conducted a number of studies examining access to health
care for women and girls. Dr. Mead received her PhD in public
policy and public administration from The George Washington University.
